A New Épée Training Season Begins September 2026
K-M Fencing Academy is preparing to launch a dedicated épée fencing program at Nittany Mall in State College, Pennsylvania, continuing the fencing tradition of this location and creating a new home for the local fencing community.
Our first training season will begin in September 2026. We are currently forming training groups, finalizing the weekly schedule, and preparing programs for fencers of different ages and experience levels.

Renata Knapik-Miazga
Renata Knapik-Miazga is an elite épée coach and former world-class athlete with over 25 years of experience at the highest levels of international fencing. She is the most accomplished Polish épée fencer in history, with medals from the Olympic Games, World Championships, European Championships, and World Cup events. As a co-founder of the Tarnowska Akademia Fechtunku, she spent ten years developing youth and competitive fencing programs in Poland. She is currently a university-level fencing coach competing in the NCAA system, bringing daily experience from the U.S. collegiate fencing environment. Renata combines high-performance expertise with a strong focus on long-term athlete development and technical excellence. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes athlete-centered training, tactical intelligence, and respect for the core values of sport.
